Well, I've been saying that I was going to have some news. Well, I have signed on to be a Stampin Up! demonstrator! I am so excited! It will combine my two favorite things: teaching and crafting! Stampin Up! is company that sells very high quality rubber stamps. They also have cardstock, ink, designer series paper (patterned paper), accessories, punches, markers, ribbon, and more!
I found Stampin Up! when I was searching for cardstock online. Since I do not have a large craft store near me (and I can't drive the hour to get to one), I have to order online. When I searched through site after site, I came across Stampin Up! I think my favorite part of Stampin Up! is that everything coordinates! They have 4 color families and then some special issue In Colors. You can get ink, cardstock, ribbon, markers, and designer series paper (DSP) in these colors! The DSP tells you which colors ir coordinates with, and there are color charts to tell you what colors coordinate together for the other families as well.
When I would decide to do a project (scrapbook page, card, or other 3D project), it used to take me an hour or more to choose my patterened paper, then pick a cardstock that matched, pick an ink or inks that would sort of match or at least look okay, and then struggle to decide on a ribbon (which I usually ended up with black or white because nothing ever really "matched"). Now, I can pick up a sheet of designer series paper, a couple of the cardstock sheets that coordinate with it, ribbon that matches perfectly, and perfectly matched inks! It takes less than 5 minutes! Even if I want to be adventuresome and try a new combo of colors that aren't listed as the coordinating colors, it only adds about 10 minutes, because then I just pick up the ribbon and ink to match that!
If any of you would like to order any products, please comment or email me and I can set you up with a catalog! I will soon have online ordering on my website and blog. It may be a week or so, since I am VERY new to being a demonstrator. You can look online at the Stampin Up! website, but when you order items, you will need to select a demonstrator (that's me- Leslie Jones, Opp, AL) to get the best prices!
I am here to help and will have tutorials and samples posted very soon and 4 times a week starting August 1. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh, and Blog Candy is coming soon too! I am following in Amy's footsteps and sharing some surplus! I'll fill you in soon.
