First Post! Learning, Moving, and Graduating

I've had a big week--already. I stayed up half the night last night finishing teacher gifts. (I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how.) I have finally completed my business website. www.CreativePzazz.com. (Maybe I'll learn how to do links too.) I tweeted for the first time. And now I have blogged for the first time. Whew, I think I need a vacation.

On a side note, even with the fatigue I have felt the past two weeks from my MS (multiple sclerosis), I am hurting too badly to go to sleep, which explains the late hour of this post. Oh well, I have researched several organizing ideas to help with my move to my new studio.

Yes, you read right. A STUDIO. An entire space dedicated to the production of crafts, cards, and books. I will be swapping my craft room with my daughters' media room. My current craft space is shared with the computer/office area as well, which will stay, hopefully in that same room when the girls move in. Accounting for the office area my current craft room allows for 7.5' x 12' of space for me. The girls' media room is 10 x 11'. You can't imagine how excited I am about those few extra square feet! If I get brave enough, I will post the horrific photos of my current craft space. It will be rated R for Really disorganized.

My plan is to be very deliberate about where I put my supplies in my new studio, rather than my current situation, which is just find a spot to put it. I have drawn sketches, made lists of what products I need where, and decided on a tentative floor plan. It is only tentative in that I have no idea where the 2nd table will come from! Of course, there is no money for a table, we have ceased all extra spending.

Well, I take that back. I have spent a ton extra this week because Megan (my oldest daughter) graduated 8th grade, which means there have been several parties I have had to contribute money to, plus, she went on a graduation present weekend with her best friend to stay in the Winfrey and shop at the Galleria. This was a very big deal to a shopaholic like Megan. Needless to say, we are struggling to make ends meet this month more than last month. Actually, this month I can't even find the ends!

Which leads me back to this blog. This is a central location for my daily surfing and crafting. I will post organization ideas, craft ideas, storage solutions, a product review or wish, tips on being frugal, and maybe a new recipe or two.

Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by!

Post Script... HAHA get it? Post Script! Anyway, I promise I will not be chatty next time! :)

  1. Good luck with your blog. It's not bad to be chatty now and then. It's nice to know about the person behind the posts and that's a good way to find out.
